Brentwood Bay Resort has long been a supporter of the local arts scene. We take pride in having a revolving roster of musicians featuring some of the best acts on the island. See live music at BBR every Friday & Saturday in The Arbutus Room. Sometimes we add extra performances over the holidays!

Jan Stirling

Jan Stirling is a versatile, intuitive, and engaging artist. Jan follows a less- than-traditional path and draws from a wide array of musical genres – classical, pop, jazz, and her own original music featured pianist at Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa.

Sam Kaiser

A singer-songwriter from Hong Kong who is now based in Victoria, Sam’s approach to music is reflective of his mixed heritage and upbringing across the world. He explores themes of distance, longing, and hope while acknowledging growth and his own perception of the world around him. His intricate fingerpicking and layers of guitar and vocals complement his stripped-back style, which is ever evolving, much like him

Cold Cut Combo

The Cold Cut Combo is a Victoria-based acoustic group of improvisational musicians specializing in Gypsy Jazz, Parisian Musette Waltzes and Swing & Latin standards. The CCC features virtuosic jazz Manouche guitars, soulful accordion, and sweet vocals.

Brandon Foreman

From founding leader of the touring band Yellowbelly to charting on the radio, Brandon Foreman has decades of professional experience in the music industry as songwriter and performer, always making people happy with his music. The past few years he made his home base in Thailand where he developed his current show based on reworking hits from the past in his unique style.

Victor Wells

Victor Wells is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter with a 30-year performing career; playing blues, funk, R & B, reggae, and classic rock in every kind of venue. His vast experience ranges from solo performance to an 8-piece soul revue and every kind of band in between: R & B/funk, blues, reggae and ska, country and western, classic rock. His career has taken him literally around the world: beginning in Chicago, then Toronto, London, Paris, Tokyo, Vancouver, and currently Victoria. Victor has produced two original CDs (Victor H. Wells,III 1999, and The Dubious Bros. 2004), as well as numerous LPs, and CDs as a session player or singer in Vancouver, Victoria and Tokyo. Victor has written or co-written about 300 songs.

Rob Fillo

Rob Fillo is an incredible solo artist who lives with an intuitive sense of meaning and heartfelt respect for the strength, beauty and balance of nature and the universe. A firm believer in the power of vulnerability and emotion, he is a sincere and self-propelled multidisciplinary renaissance artist for a new era.

Kelly Fawcett

Kelly Fawcett is a versatile guitarist, singer, and award-winning songwriter, firmly rooted in the blues, who has travelled the world playing various styles of music. He has toured with Canadian music legends such as Dutch Mason, Amos Garrett, and Willie McCalder of The Powder Blues Band, and shared the stage with acts like Buddy Guy, Lloyd Jones, and Jim Byrnes. Kelly has also toured North America, Asia, and Europe with Earl Pereira of Widemouth Mason, HB Concept, and Rita Chiarelli. His music has been featured in numerous film and television productions, and he is also a skilled composer and engineer.

Helen Davies

Helen Davies has been performing on Vancouver Island for almost 30 years. Known primarily as a blues vocalist, Helen’s vocal style has been compared to Etta James, Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raitt.

Tom Vickery

Tom Vickery remains a leading figure on the West Coast jazz scene. For the past 30 years, he has played with the award-winning Dixieland Express Jazz Band The Tom Vickery Trio has been the house band at Hermann’s Jazz Club in Victoria for more than 25 years hosting a world famous jazz jam. A featured pianist at The Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa and the renowned Empress Hotel in Victoria.

Anna Lyman Duo

A STYLE AND VOICE ALL HER OWN. ; Anna Lyman grew up in (Detroit) Motown! and was influenced by stars like Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles, but a perk of being Latin-American is that as a young child, she was exposed to the Great Brazilian Gurus, A.C. Jobim and Sergio Mendes. A love of Jazz and Brass came from being exposed to Ramsey Lewis, and Henry Mancini, as well as Jazz Musicals in Old Movies. She has been described by renowned Jazz Drummer, Keith Copeland as a “tremendous talent”. Keith also said: There are a lot of singers out there… Some of them have phrasing, some of them have tone, some can swing, YOU HAVE IT ALL! (Keith Copeland, 2003). Juno Award winner Rick Kilburn described her vocal ability as “just like the old masters”. Anna’s lush vocals go straight to the heart whether she swings or broods over a ballad.

Los Gringos Locos
